Transaxle retrofit upgrade kit

Suitable for Toylander 1, 2, 3 and MB43 Willys Jeep.

Replace your existing Toylanders single or twin chain drive motors to a 24v 500w transaxle motor twin rear wheel drive. The transaxle kit includes;

24v 500w transaxle motor & gearbox. (This will drive both rear wheels as an alternative to upgrading to the 2nd motor chain drive kit). Mounting support brackets and fixings.  Uprated speed controller to operate the transaxle.  All wiring from speed controller to transaxle and batteries. Also includes loom control cable from speed controller to circuit board (or to ignition key and FWD/REV switch on older models, choose above), throttle pedal and dashboard switches. Throttle pedal, circuit board and switches not included, please order separately.

Transaxle is fitted with an automatic brake which releases when throttle pedal is pressed and comes on again when foot lifted off throttle. The transaxle also has a manual brake release lever to allow the Toylander to be pushed.

Requires 2x12v batteries to operate. Order batteries here if needed. Please note – your existing chain drive wheels will not fit the transaxle, you will need to order 2 new rear wheels; Standard or Town & Country to suit your Toylander; You will then receive wheels with hubs to fit onto the transaxle.

Installation requires removal of existing motors, rear axle, chain guards, chains and sprockets, brake assembly and replacement of rear drive wheels to new drive wheels with key slot sleeves to slide onto transaxle drive shafts. Fitting will require cutting a hole in the floor panel for transaxle motor to sit up inside the vehicle body; plus drilling 8mm diameter holes through inside rear panels to mount support brackets.
